As the son of a Station Agent I have never not known trains. When I got my first box camera in 1948 at age 17 I took this photo at Tara,Iowa while working as Agent there. I have been taking pictures ever since mostly from a Modeler's view. I worked for the M&StL, C&NW, Rio Grande, MN&S, SooLine and retired from the BN.
